DIY: 5 Lug Conversion on your Car or Truck
DIY four to five lug conversion and wheel bearing replacement. In this video I show you how to do a 4 to 5 lug conversion on a Nissan 240sx owned by LTworldsr SaabKyle04, but this applies to any 4 lug car. You can also use this process to go from a 5 to 6 lug on a truck or even 6 to 5 lug if you want. You are basically replacing the wheel bearing and hub assembly so this lug conversion applies to many different cars and trucks.

You're the only LTworldsr I watch ads for. Love your videos, and that's the best way I can help :p
@Sofyan Hidayat46 His content wouldn't be as good if he did that. Quality over quantity.
How do you measure the torque pounds, I didn’t understand that part.
Me too
ChrisFix was the day good . to see it haha 😆 I like the 🚗
@ChrisFix well with such good bideos how could you stop in the middle!
Why is the inside of the car stripped
Don’t become a mechanic if u watch Chris’s videos because everyone already know how to fix it themselves:p
thought you were going to change the old break's kit to A NEW kit to 6 piston break's kit ??
I thought this was Chrisfix drift car 3 years ago😂
*at 3 am* Brain: Go to sleep Me: But i have to watch this video about how to convert your can from a 4 lugnut hub to a 5 lugnut hub Brain: But you're 14 and you don't even own a car Me: But i have to know how to do that Brain: Dude it's not like the video will get removed or anything Me: Yea but i have to know how to do that Brain: Ugh fine, i guess
Might be uh to late for this , but can you apply the same steps if the car is a front wheel drive ?
Chris: "the axle nut needs to be torqued to 130 foot pounds" Me: "wait my lugs on my truck are 120 WHAT?!?!?!?!?!"
Can you change brake rotors without change brake pads? New rotors with old brake pads?
hey you might not see this but if you do where did you get the rotors? I'm about to do a 5 lug swap and cant find rotors
How do you know how to fix cars Chris fix
me watching this with a 5 lug car
Hey Chris I’m looking into updating the wheel bolt pattern on my dually. Where can I find the parts I need? I want to make sure I get the right parts. Thanks!
If anyone’s reading this, can someone let me know where I can get this kit and how much it is?
You should replace the old brake pads, never use old pads with new disc's
How would this work on drum brakes? Or will it work on drum brakes is the better question
sometimes when i open a chris fix video I say “hey guys, Chris Fix here” with him
I bet Saab Kyle has seen Chris' real face. I think he has, not sure.
Who all are seeing this by the end of 2020🤗
Yo are those wheels tire rack c4 cause if so I got the same on my e46 bmw
This is NOT TRUE
you are good for changing breaks
What if you don't want to use wheel adapter and what to change the bolt pattern. Can you swap out the hub like this?
No torque wrench no content
Thank you Chris, my dad don't know this and i teach it and he convert it successfully
とても分かりやすくて超参考になりました。 ありがとうございました! thank you!
Man, this guy is in love with breaker bars
my hub will not come off it's totally seized it is not sliding right out :(
i have seen chrisfix face
i saw chrisfix
Wider wheels don't give you more grip. In fact, they can reduce grip in rainy weather due to skidding effect. The only thing that matters is weight of the vehicle and coefficient of friction of your tyre.
@DataLog Wow
@ChrisFix Np, wider wheels are still very useful because they offer extra stability, less lateral flex and allow for more downforce or weight (due to higher surface area, there is less pressure on the tyre) and less overall wear given the same thickness because there is more surface material. But if you have a small engine, the moment of inertia (which depends on the distance of mass from the axle of the wheel and total mass of the wheel) can eat up your torque and cause worse gas mileage. An ideal wheel would aim for maximum mass reduction away from the center, and all the necessary support as close to the center as possible. Two wheels can have the same mass and completely different moment of inertia, which at speed could mean 10s of times of difference in strain and gyroscopic forces. I'm a very big fan of your videos and you help a lot, I'm not a mechanic, but I have degrees in chemistry and physics.
Thanks for sharing!
is the car v12
It's an inline 6!
I think the cars usually have the places where you should put the jacks....you cannot choose the spot just randomly....

*Money pit*
i like how hes just like "so use a breaker bar and break it free" for the spindle nut. bullshit!! looks like it was torqued to 80lbs
My power mechanics teacher put on your video on all of the fluids and I got excited when I heard “ Hey guys ChrisFix here!”

@ChrisFix thx
You should be able to!
THE CHANNEL DIES IN A WEEK (allegedly) Damn. Here we are again. This morning I woke up to a dozen old copyright claims being filed. As a result, having 3+ copyright strikes has my channel marked for deletion in a week. I'm waiting on responses from folks right now to try and get this resolved, but honestly I'm less than hopeful. As if I needed more reasons to stay away from LTworlds, right? I'm going to lose everything if this channel goes away, but I'm sure as hell not going to lose this incredible audience and community I've created over these last 3 years - some of the best years of my life. I owe all of this to all of you, the folks who keep coming back just to see what I've been up to, or message me encouraging things when I'm not feeling 100%. I love you all, each and every one of you. Well, everyone but Phil. Sorry, Phil.
Never even heard of you
How did you get your tool on the top brake bolt, for the rear brakes. Nothing i have fits in that space
Is it this easy [universal] to remove all 4 lug hubs to convert to a 5 lug?
Chrisfix + Saabkyle = amazing
If I wanna do this on an auto car so what gear should I put it in before loosening the axle bolt?
@ChrisFix Ah alright thanks.
You would go park and then neutral!
I used to have two Nuts but someone stabbed my sack and done a nut delete so now I only have one! What would you recommend?

But the brake calipers look awful
Chris is the type of a guy that could fix your depression with just some common handtools
That’s cool and all but where tf would I get a 5 lug hub for a 96 integra
Is it possible to do this on a 2002 ford explorer XLT.....converting from 5 lug nut to 6 lug nut....here the most common rim type is the six hole pattern.... eagerly waiting for your response..... watching from Ndola Zambia 🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲

💪
Hi. Cris i just wondering were can i check or buy the right hub for my car? Got NISSAN ALMERA HATCHBACK (N16) 1.5 PETROL 90 HP
I got 4 bolts stud. Want to change it to 5.
I still can't believe that spindle nut is a 30mm that literally shocked me, Anyways I seen this vid an took interest cause I bought some chrome 20's for my 04 Mustang but the bolt pattern is completely differant on the new rims so figured I'd get adapters but heard adapters are bad for torque an bust so I may do what you done to this 240. Would a 04 Mustang be similar to this like what I'm asking is will the rear of mine be as simple as this 240 ? I've worked on cars for several years but I've never swapped hubs..
What happed to the 6 piston brakes
Anyone do this conversion on a 3rd gen Prelude? Any particular parts needed or any tips you could help me out with?
Mind if I ask what rims those are? They looks like TE37s tonmr
To me
Nice
Anyone else realize he shifted gears with out the clutch
