How to Install Dual Brake Calipers
Brake Calipers. Learn how to install dual brake caliper brackets and dual brake calipers as well as replace the differential fluid, replace the rear wheel bearing, and the replace the bearing seal on your car or truck. This process works on a live rear axle. I am prepping my drift car for this upcoming season by installing a dual rear brake caliper setup so I can use a hydro ebrake.

I know you put a ton of work into your videos but wow dude, I am not sure who else saw how clean the suspension looked, all the painted parts, the calipers, etc... You go way above and beyond and that is why I love this channel! Your attention to detail is exceptional.
@Matthew Young I think he learned himself everything... You know, in the Internet you have everthing, you got forums where you can ask questions and come plz bro, so it's no problem to learn yourself how to do sth... It is possible because i know a guy who started as taxi driver with zero mechanic knowlegde, he liked cars and decided to get start fixing them and finsished as owner of 3 mechanic worskshops ... I think car fixing is Chris's passion, so he had goal to be best as possible and he aproached that...

5:12 On some cars like your Honda Del Sol They have a retaining clip that fits on a groove of your axle. And it does the same thing. Axle retaining clips aren't as large as C Clips

Chris is most likely always going to be a 99/10 neighbor.
Just get brembo brakes on the rear 1 caliper does enough
why not just convert it to one big caliper?
@ChrisFix oh my bad of course sorry bro haha ❤️😅😅
This is for drifting so I need to be able to brake with my foot and also be able to pull the hydro!

Hey hi mr. Chris.. I'm bobby from india, and i saw your videos its all lovely for me because i also love to fix my cars Perfect, and i have question which I'm recently faced in my toyota etios car. It was recently i repalced my toyota Etios front wheel bearing both sides with abs sensors and drive shafts. It was good in running but the complaint was i have trouble in speedometer it was raised and suddenly down fall and fluctuate up and down like that and also soke times its flashing abs signal lite, Plz help me to prevent from this if it u can know? Thanking you
Can you do that to a Honda Civic DX coupe 1997? don't laugh pls
The rear brakes have drums so you would need to do a conversion. I'll have a video on that soon!
Can you do this for the front brakes instead of going the Brembo four pot route. Also using 2x 2 pots will mean no need to use bigger wheels. But id imagine a better slotted and drilled rotor added to help move heat.
Learn initial d
Hey i know im a few years late n stuff but how much do you think the total is to complete a full build like you do you dont have to say if its personal to you
So anyway I started -blasting- drifting.
Heheheh... black stuff...
Geeze, Ford: it takes less time to remove an axle on my GM cars (Solstice and a C6) than it did to watch this video. I also didn't have to dig around in the differential.
Hi chris i am a kid and i dont have a car but i love your vids i want to be just like you when i grow up i love cars well done with your vids
Perfect video . From Spain A pleasure

would doing this help my truck stop better? i really would like to do this. and should i do it in the back or the front?
So, how's the project been over the last couple of years? I know you had some big plans for the driftstang, and this is one series I've found myself going back to and rewatching.
@ChrisFix That's great! Any chance we get to see her all finished? I think it'd be cool to see the progress from when you first got the car to now. Hope you and your family are doing well!
It's been awesome! The car has been pretty dialed in now, have to install a few more things and she'll be perfect!
👍
installed brake disk with oiled gloves....fu
this can be done only with the installation of a brake disc of a larger diameter, imagine what an overload in temperature the disc experiences, it is very easy to heat up to red
Bearing puller and slider hamer? Basic tools my ass.
Isn't this dual brake system worth more than the car you are installing it on ?
good job
Thanks!
I don't want to drift, but my 4x4 has a drum and disc combo and the drums either locks up or just lossens it's self I want to remove that drum crap and use a second caliper as a handbrake but the problem is i don't want that huge handbrake lever just one that looks like the stock one.
@ChrisFix Sweeeeeet but I don't have drums in the rear the whole car uses disc brakes including the rear but the rear has drums built in with the discs, so basically they have a hydraulic caliper in the rear but take the caliper off and remove the disc and you will see drum brake pads and that's the handbrake, and those drums keep failing and leaving the handbrake useless that's why I want to use a second caliper as a handbrake. It's pretty weird but I don't know what else to do at this point. Sorry if I'm confusing you.
I'll be making a drum to disc conversion video soon! Stay tuneeeeed!
6:32 years of academy training finally useful
Can I get a link to a miata dual caliper bracket
So no ABS anymore I take it?
Hi Chris were did u connect the break line on the new caliper
question, for this dual brake caliper can i buy e.g. 2 brembo calipers on put it on like you did or do i have to put a specific kit on that can make it so it has 2
Chris. My boy. I love your videos, but please. Stop saying common handtools if you go get a tool that's not that common.
Someone know what is the name of his tools ?

@ChrisFix yay
Awesome! You'll be way ahead of everyone when you start driving!
looks great! hmmm do you think dual calipers would be useful on a toyota tacoma hauling huge heavy loads for more stopping power or is it not necesarry you think?
I'm legally blind. Have been all my life. I never can/will be able to drive. Will I ever need this information? No. But God damn I sure do love watching Chris's videos.
So ChrisFix is it possible to install dual brake calibrators on an AWD as well as a front wheel drive and rear wheel drive?
и хуля толку, тормоза теряются не из-за количества суппортов, а из-за перегрева!
Wow ,so cool and interesting
Do you think I can install dual calipers on ether the rear or front brakes under the stock rims on a stock all original Eagle Summit Wagon if I upgrade the ABS from original Eagle stock with or without stock ABS and get it to perform wether it has all wheel drive on the manual transmission or a front wheel drive automatic?
ok thanks for your help when I get my first car to be an Eagle 🦅 Summit Wagon to be my first car can you do videos for me about the customization with an upgraded ABS and dual calipers on a front wheel drive Eagle Summit from the early to mid 90’s then I would want it to come with motorized shoulder seatbelts with manual lap belt and nearly all the other luxury power options on the Eagle Summit Wagon are window and locks and the optional 3 speed automatic
If they sell brackets you should be able too!
lv u chris
God bless you all. The Gospel is 1Corinthians 15:1-4, Ephesian 1:13, 2:8-9, Roman 3:23-26. Without blood there is no life and without Jesus BLOOD no eternal life.🕊️
double the dust, half the bracket - nice!
lol not a big deal for this car!
Wat soll dat ??? Shit !!!M
But the question : doesn't dual brake caliper consume or rather depreciate the drum quickly or in other words shorten its lifetime?????? I guess the answer gonna be: on the contrary.. !!!!
@ChrisFix Can you shed more light ... I did get what you mean by .. expect that when I put it in!!!!!?.. Eventually, which one lasts longer.??
It will wear through rotors and pads quickly, but you should expect that when putting it in!
If you don't increase the rotor mass or add air cooling, this is a useless setup for more than a couple stops.
عمل جميل جدا شكرا لك
This is a very good video all Cleer as water 👌
What did you use to clean up your suspension Mr. ChrisFix? @ChrisFix
I dont know what your talking about... I love the smell of gear oil in the morning.
Tool link ??
you are one of the few youtubers that explains exactly how to do it, step by step! I liked your video. these are the videos you always want to find when you need help! Thank you

Very professional job...
Hey Chris. Great video. The drift stang is looking good. Just a quick question, running a dual calliper braking system would it be hard or too much on the brake boost and the rest of the braking system? I’m loving the idea of the dual calliper set up for our GMC Yukon Overlander. It’s a heavy rig and crawling through the trails with stronger braking system would give us more confidence. Thank you so much for these videos. I’ve have bin a long time subscriber. Keep up the great content.
На хуя мне в рекомендации хуйня на англ языке? Диз не глядя😠😠😠👎👎👎👎
Hello Chris; i didn’t see how you split the brake fluid tubes for each caliper; was a “T” splitter?
