  • When the microfiber towe gets dirty enough, I personally don’t throw them out. They can be washed and although i wouldn’t use them for glass, paint, wax or interior they can be reused for future cleanings, I even use them for cleaning ares that are known to get excessively dirty...(Brakes, suspension, even inside of the wheels etc...) I keep the new towels in the package as long as possible and keep certain ones (new) dedicated to interior, glass, paint, wax etc... Also: I realize this isn’t interior video but if you use microfiber towed for inside trim, leather, etc....I have some dedicated to seat leather, interior trim etc. and another set dedicated to the glass both inside and outside. The trim restorer can also be used for exterior trim like, lower door, mud flaps, bumpers, some even rubber trim and even tires.

  • The second 🚗 red car 🚨 he did, the electrical box he was spraying that little square black box with a plastic lid on the right side was the fuse box which is more important to cover than the motor!!! I know cause I'm a mechanic myself. I can take the whole engine apart pistons and all. LOL

    joyful jeffjoyful jeffPrieš 2 dienas
  • Just take a wire wheel and a drill and clean the aluminum alternator and intake etc. Then everything plastic and rubber use Armor All or Tire Shine and it comes out even better yet and you can be done less than a half an hour. Also take some very shiny silver spray paint, then a few rags and cover up all the areas around what your painting and just paint the silver what you want and there you go a nice shiny brand new alternator intake manifold etc. And use glossy black on the battery bracket etc. And what you did with the yellow marker, I take yellow spray paint spray it in the lid of another spray can lid take a small paintbrush handle dip it in the paint and use that as a yellow pen and it will paint the indented parts yellow.

Also the way you speak is very clear and good to understand for foreigners too. I am Dutch and my English is pretty good but I can hear that the way you speak is very clear for everybody. This video is very inspirational and I'm going to do my Volkswagen (Golf 6, 1.4 TSI 160Hp Sept.2011, red like your Mustang) one of these days and send you my before and after pictures. What I'm going to do first is gather the materials I saw In the video to clean my engine. Thank you very much for your video.

  • I used to detail hundreds of cars at a car lot while I was in high school, and my cleaning technique for leaning engines was 1) Spray Gunk over a warm engine, 2) Wash off the dirt and oil at the nearby quarter car wash (does that give you a good time frame as to when I was working? ;->), 3 Touch up the engine and engine bay with the proper spray paint, and 4) Coat the ignition wires, heater hoses, etc. with the new stuff called "Son-of-a-Gun". I got lots of compliments on my work, and was even offered a job at the local Mercedes/Porsche dealership for detailing their cars... That was then, when car engines were simple and there was lots of room to work and clean them. Worse case scenario was moisture getting into the distributor cap, or some old ignition wiring might cause an engine miss. No computers, no injectors, no additional engine modules to worry about. But now? The old school hammer cleaning techniques of the past just won't work to clean a filthy engine & engine bay without possibly having to take all kinds of stuff apart to get the engine started again. This video brought the art of properly cleaning a contemporary engine up to date. Nicely done, Chris!

  • I'm having a question that I can't find a specific answer the internet. In the beginning you said we should disconnect the battery entirely from the car. Will that damage the ecu, reset it in any form or cause harm to other electronics in the car? From my little knowleadge for cars i know that after 15 min with the battery disconnected, the car forgets the way you shift gears and how it's driven on the road and can appear to be a little "stiff".

    Mario DragomirMario DragomirPrieš 14 dienų
    • @Eskie Man thanks man. Good explanation and on point. Cheers!🍺

      Mario DragomirMario DragomirPrieš 7 dienų
    • No. Think about it: sooner or later, your battery will go dead, or close to it. If the battery is shot, the old battery will have to be replaced, so one battery is removed, and a new one put in. If the previously established 'values' in the car's computer disappear after a period of time, when power is restored, the established (factory) base values will be used when you drive the car. Most vehicle computers have a 'learning' process as the car is driven, depending upon what systems are affected, and how the car's systems were designed by the manufacturer.
